Background

Deepti spent her career in engineering leadership, building and running platform and engineering teams at Flipkart — an environment of sustained high scale, high accountability, and constant change. That experience is the reason her coaching practice is aimed at technology professionals: she has held the role, not only studied it.

Clients in similar environments do not have to explain what an on-call rotation costs, why a platform migration creates organisational conflict rather than merely technical work, or how promotion calibration actually operates. The context is shared, so sessions start with the client's decision rather than with background.

Coaching credentials

Coaching is unregulated in most countries, and anyone may use the title. An ICF credential is independent evidence of training against a defined competency framework and of accountability to an enforceable code of ethics. It is worth checking for in any coach you consider, not only this one.

Approach

The practice is built on a simple sequence: insight, then clarity, then action. Insight without action is an interesting conversation; action without insight is activity. Sessions are structured so that each one ends with something specific you intend to do differently, and the next one examines what actually happened.

Coaching here is not advice-giving. Having led engineering organisations, Deepti usually has a view — and stating it would make the work worse, because the client holds context a coach never fully will and has to live with the result. The discipline is asking the question that moves your thinking rather than supplying a conclusion.

Having worked as a woman in engineering leadership at scale, Deepti coaches these clients without requiring them to first establish that their experience is real.

How engagements work

Every engagement begins with a free 30-minute discovery call to explore the situation and test fit. Coaching then typically runs three to six months, with 60-minute sessions every two to three weeks, held virtually. Fees are discussed on the discovery call, where scope and cadence are agreed. All sessions are confidential, in line with ICF ethical standards.
